According to my experience the best result when building some complex system can be achieved when components available on the market are combined with components which are developed especially for the system being build. Sometimes a significant improvement can be achieved by combining, for example, expensive purchased instruments with simple custom interfaces or control panels. Therefore I do not hesitate to develop custom parts when they are needed.
